This is a free webinar for promoting geospatial knowledge in country. Webinar focuses on advancement in geospatial techniques have enabled a proliferation of tools and technologies. These tools can be used to link local environmental practices with regional and global patterns of environmental change. Yet, the highly technical nature of these tools can limit their application to applied settings. Therefore, there is a critical need for research on these technologies. Three studies are presented: (1) Use of GPRS for subsurface soil characterization, (2) crop suitability models are compared (3) remote sensing data is used to track vegetation recovery after mine site reclamation
