GEOINFORMATICS / GEOVISUAL ANALYTICS GROUP
Introduction:The main aim of the group is to explore and analyse large spatio-temporal datasets in order to find the unique patterns in moving objects. This is achieved by applying Geovisual Analytics techniques to various moving objects datasets. The datasets are formed from spatio-temporal sequences also called trajectories. For example trajectories which are generated in physical space such as GPS logs or trajectories which are generated by Human-Computer Interaction (when user interacts with digital maps on the screen). The research group also focuses on development and customization of geospatial tools for both open-source and commercial products for research purposes. Research Areas:1. Moving Object Analysis
